It’s been a week and a couple days now since the first update. I still haven’t made any progress. I find it hard to find time to write every day, there’s always something or someone that needs my attention.
Last week, I was able to do some work on the second main character, Traxel, but his character sheet still isn’t done on Bibsco. It would be amazing if by the end of this week, going from today to Saturday, I could get his info done.
The main things stopping me from working on this novel are my jobs. One requires me to be focused on it 6 hours a day, three days a week and the other requires a day, anywhere between 2-5 hours, plus I’m practically on-call for it too. Last week I made a slideshow for it, and it turned out amazingly, but it took me all afternoon to do.
Going forward, I’m trying to rework my plan. I’m thinking of waking up earlier to write before starting my day. I currently wake up at either 7 or 7:30, so if I change that to 6 or 6:30, it’ll give me writing time. Another idea is going to a writing space I was recently told about. The Write Space in Orange would be perfect and from the pictures, it would be a similar environment to the writer’s retreat. The only problem with it right now is the cost and getting there.
I’m keeping hope alive and will use my resources to get this novel done!
